Calling all car lovers! Tata Motors has finally announced that its much-talked-about Curvv SUV-coupe will hit the markets on August 7th, 2024. This product will undoubtedly set the Indian car market ablaze, merely from the style and feature fronts, over conventional midsize SUV competitors.

Curvv: A Pioneering SUV-Coupe

The Curvv is unlike any other car sold in India today. The mass-produced SUV-coupe patent volume of an SUV with sleek, sporty coupe styling makes it the perfect blend for a person looking to buy a car that will meet all functional and style needs.

Expected to Rival Popular Midsize SUVs

The Curvv will compete against some of the more successful cars in this space today, like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Hyundai Creta. With its coupe-like design, however, it brings a rather unique look that might stir the eyeballs of drivers who want some flair.

Multiple Powertrain Options to Choose From

Tata is catering to a wide range of preferences by offering the Curvv in three powertrain options: petrol, diesel, and electric. Here's a quick breakdown:

Petrol: With the Curvv Concept, it comes with an all-new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that will come and make even more power, around 125 horsepower. This could only come connected with both manual and automatic transmission options.

Diesel: Looking to buy diesel? The Curvv will also get the well-known 1.5-liter, four-cylinder unit from the Nexon.

Electric: Curvv EV will be there for the eco-conscious driver, touting Tata's Gen 2 electric vehicle platform and thus promising a range of circa 450-500 kilometers on a single charge. While its exact specifications are yet to be told, the performance will be at par.

EV Expected First, Followed by ICE Versions

This can be a strategic move by Tata – the Curvv EV could come first, with expectations of a starting price at Rs 20 lakh. That makes it Shemaleably priced between the Nexon EV and the Harrier EV, which will, of course, be coming a little later. The petrol and diesel are expected to follow later, starting upward of Rs 10 lakh or Rs 11 lakh.

Interior Comfort and Features

Though official details are yet to emerge, the Curvv should come with a comfortable and feature-laden interior. Some of its probable features include a beefy four-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster with a large touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced parking ease.
