The trend of motorsports is increasing in India. The new generation of talented racers are making their mark in the international events and are competing with the international drivers. These enthusiastic drivers are not only showcasing their exceptional skills, but also putting India on the world racing map.

Jehan Daruvala

Jehan Daruvala is a Mumbai-based racer. He made an impact on the F1 world. He is one of India's best drivers at Formula racing. Jehan is the first ever Indian to win the Formula 2 race trophy. He is presently representing Carlin Motorsports. 

Gaurav Gill

This list of best Formula racers in India will be incomplete without Gaurav Gill. Along with being one of the top formula racers in India, he has been a former MRF driver. He was among the first Indians who bagged the feat of winning the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship. One interesting thing to note is that this is for the third time that Gill has been crowned with this title. Gaurav also became a recipient of the Arjuna Award in 2019 for his spectacular showing in motorsports.

Karun Chandhok

Karun Chandhok last raced in Formula E for Mahindra Racing. Chadhok followed his interest in racing by participating in the 2011 German Grand Prix. In early 2021, Karun Chandhok was invited to join the Board of Directors of Motorsport UK. Among the Formula racers in India, he happens to be one of the very few who made it to Formula 1 apart from Narain Karthikeyan.

Narain Karthikeyan

Narain Karthikeyan is India's Formula Racer and is a Padma Shri receiver. He was born in Coimbatore and started racing Formula way back in 1992. Several of his wins and achievements made him the best Formula Racer in no time in India. 

The impact that Indian racers make in the international circuit is huge, and such successes shoot the future of motorsport in India. It makes the country proud to see that this kind of talent and hard work comes out from the country. They are examples to young drivers, motivating them to dream big and reach the top. The more the trend of motorsports grows, the more competition will increase, and more number of Indian racers will participate in global events. It would not be wrong to say that the future of Indian motorsport is in the hands of your generation of young drivers.
