Sunroof is one of the fast-growing needs for today's Indian buyers in a car, as it makes the driving experience more premium and open. Features like a sunroof are something that a couple of years ago were limited to only premium cars. Many manufacturers now offer it with budget-friendly cars. One can spot many alternatives under Rs 10 lakh, which bring to you a mix of design, feasibility, and that thrill of driving with sunroof. Here are five SUVs that deliver in an economy package.
Hyundai Exter: Rs 8.23 lakh
Hyundai entered into the subcompact SUV segment with the Exter. Being the micro SUV, the Exter became one of the most sold cars in the Indian market. The Exter borrows the sunroof from the SX variant, which is priced at Rs 8.23 lakh, ex-showroom. The Exter, apart from this trim, offers this feature on four more variants: SX Knight, SX(O), SX(O) Connect, and SX(O) Connect Knight, which are priced at Rs 8.38 lakh, Rs 8.87 lakh, Rs 9.05 lakh, Rs 9.56 lakh, and Rs 9.71 lakh, respectively. The Exter has a 1.2 litre petrol engine. The engine produces 82 bhp and 113.8 NM. It has a 5-speed manual and an ATM.
Kia Sonet: Rs 8.29 lakh
The sunroof gesture for the Kia Sonet starts with the HTE(O) variant, which is priced at Rs 8.29 lakh ex-showroom. While a sunroof is part of the equipment list for the HTE(O), even the HTK(O) variant gets an electric sunroof, and all this comes at Rs 9.37 lakh. Both the variants mentioned above get the same 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol mill which makes 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque and is available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
TATA Punch: Rs 8.35 lakh
The TATA Punch has a range of sunroom variants. The beginning price variant is the Accomplished Sunroof, and that too, at an ex showroom price of Rs 8.35 lakh. Other variants with the option are as follows: Accomplished Dazzle Sunroof at Rs 8.75 lakh, Creative DT SR by Rs 9.30 lakh and Creative Flagship DT, will be priced at Rs 9.60 lakh. A 1.2-litre engine develops 86.5 bhp and 115 Nm of torque in the vehicle.
Mahindra 3X0: Rs 8.99 lakh
The Mahindra 3X0 comes with a single panel and a panoramic sunroof. There are the MX3, which comes with a sunroof single panel at Rs.9.49 lakh and MX3 Pro comes at Rs: 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. All the petrol variants are under ₹10 lakh. They also have a common powertrain—an 80 bhp 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol motor churning out 200 Nm of torque that comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

In conclusion, with rising demand and the level of competitiveness at its peak, it is now easier than ever to find a sunroof-fitted SUV for under Rs 10 lakh. One gets great affordability, great style, and the added joy of having a sunroof in the following five SUVs, making them great picks for anyone on a budget who does not want to compromise on the features. These choices offer not only great value but also the pleasure of having an open-sky view, whether you really use it for city rides or adventure-ready vehicles.
