Skoda India appoints Gurpratap Boparai as their new Managing Director

Skoda appoints Gurpratap Boparai to directly work with CEO Bernhard Maier to develop the domestic market as Skoda believes India as a crucial market for its future growth strategy.

Skoda India has appointed Gurpratap Boparai as their new Managing Director. Mr. Boparai has extensive experience in international and Indian automobile industry and has expertise in managing large scale operations. 

"Mr Boparai’s appointment comes at an opportune moment when Skoda is set to strengthen its position in the Indian market," said Maier. "He brings with him vast knowledge of the Indian automotive landscape, which will enable the company to implement a comprehensive expansion plan. With him on board, we will continue to vigorously press ahead with the growth of our brand in India."
