Martins Sesks wins for MRF Tyres at Rally Liepaja

Piloting a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 car, Sesks demonstrated his mastery from the beginning to the end of the rally, securing an unyielding lead. Even the championship leader, Hayden Paddon, made a strategic decision to ease his pace, settling for second place in order to secure valuable points. Sesks' triumph not only highlights his prowess but also underscores MRF Tyres' unwavering commitment to success in the world of rallying.

Sesks secured a commanding victory with a remarkable lead of 41.4 seconds. This triumph brings him closer to championship leader Paddon, narrowing the gap to just 30 points in the overall standings. Filled with joy and gratitude, Sesks expressed his appreciation for his team and MRF Tyres, acknowledging their contribution to providing him with an exceptional car.

MRF achieves a double podium finish

Overcoming grip challenges, Mads Ostberg and co-driver Patrik Barth showcased their exceptional talent by securing a commendable third-place finish for the MRF Tyres Dealer Team in their Citroen C3 Rally2. Despite the difficulties, the Norwegian duo displayed consistent speed and determination, setting competitive times throughout the rally. This remarkable achievement marks their second podium finish of the season.

Two additional MRF-fielded cars showcased their prowess by securing top 10 finishes. The Spanish duo of Efren Llarena and Sara Fernandez secured a commendable ninth place, while Italians Simone Campedelli and Tania Canto closely followed suit.

As the 2023 ERC reaches its halfway point, MRF remains firmly positioned at the top of the standings, maintaining a commanding lead of 49 points ahead of the BRC Racing Team. Last year, MRF made history by clinching the ERC title, becoming the first-ever Indian team to secure a championship in top-level European rallying. This remarkable achievement underscores MRF's unwavering commitment to excellence.
