Sandeep Kumar emerges as champion in MRF Formula 2000

The champions of the 2024 MRF MMSC Indian National Car Racing Championship were celebrated during the season finale at the Madras International Circuit. Sandeep Kumar emerged victorious in the Formula 2000 category, while Chetan Surineni claimed the Formula 1600 title. Diljith TS showcased remarkable prowess by clinching dual triumphs, securing the top spot in both the Super Stock and Formula LGB 1300 categories.

Noteworthy achievements also came from Gurunath Meiyappan in the Indian Touring Cars division and Deepak Ravikumar in the Indian Junior Touring Cars category. The event marked a thrilling culmination of the season, with each winner leaving an indelible mark on the prestigious racing championship.

Formula 2000

The finale saw Arya Singh take his maiden Formula 2000 race win; the remaining two races were won by Aditya Swaminathan.

Race 1

Viswas Vijayaraj won Race 1 in 16 minutes and 3.286 seconds, followed closely by Aman Nagdev at 16 minutes and 3.550 seconds. Veer Sheth secured third place with a time of 16 minutes and 4.975 seconds.

Race 2

Chetan Surineni claimed victory in Race 2 with a time of 17 minutes and 12.071 seconds. Viswas Vijayaraj secured second place at 17 minutes and 16.562 seconds, while Aman Nagdev finished third in 17 minutes and 19.278 seconds.

Race 3

Viswas Vijayaraj won Race 3 with a time of 16 minutes and 39.489 seconds, narrowly beating Chetan Surineni at 16 minutes and 39.738 seconds. Veer Sheth secured third place with a time of 16 minutes and 47.179 seconds.

Indian Touring Cars

Race 1

Ritesh Rai of Arka Motorsports took the top spot in the race with a time of 15 minutes and 1.439 seconds. Biren Pithawalla from Team N1 secured second place at 15 minutes and 08.362 seconds, while Arjun Balu of Race Concepts finished third with a time of 15 minutes and 08.858 seconds.

Race 2

Ritesh Rai from Arka Motorsports secured victory in the race with a time of 22 minutes and 8.620 seconds. Biren Pithawalla of Team N1 claimed second place at 22 minutes and 12.222 seconds, while Gurunath Meiyappan from Race Concepts finished third in 22 minutes and 23.804 seconds.

Indian Junior Touring Cars

Race 1

Deepak Ravikumar of Team Performance Racing won the race with a time of 15 minutes and 27.357 seconds. Teammates Akkineni Anand Prasad and Haktim Shabbir Jamnagarwala secured second and third places at 15 minutes 31.118 seconds and 15 minutes 37.365 seconds, respectively.

Race 2

Deepak Ravikumar from Team Performance Racing claimed victory, completing the race in 22 minutes and 34.641 seconds. Teammates Akkineni Anand Prasad and Haktim Shabbir Jamnagarwala secured second and third places at 22 minutes 37.484 seconds and 22 minutes 37.919 seconds, respectively.

Super Stock

Race 1

Zahan Commissariat took the top spot, finishing the race in 16 minutes and 37.212 seconds. Dilijith TS of DTS Racing secured second place with a time of 16 minutes and 37.615 seconds, while Justin Singh from Redline Racing claimed third in 16 minutes and 40.756 seconds.

Race 2

Dilijith TS of DTS Racing triumphed in the race with a time of 23 minutes and 40.218 seconds. Zahan Commissariat finished closely behind in second place at 23 minutes and 41.591 seconds, while Jarshan Anand from DB Motorsport secured third in 23 minutes and 54.807 seconds.

Formula LGB 1300

Race 1

Viswas Vijayaraj of DTS Racing secured the top spot with a time of 14 minutes and 53.894 seconds. Diljith TS, also from DTS Racing, closely followed in second place at 14 minutes and 54.251 seconds. Bala Prasath, another DTS Racing contender, claimed third with a time of 15 minutes and 10.025 seconds.

Race 2

Dhruvh Goswami from MSport clinched victory with a time of 25 minutes and 18.849 seconds. Abhay M, also from MSport, secured second place just behind at 25 minutes and 19.081 seconds. Diljith TS of DTS Racing claimed third with a time of 25 minutes and 23.650 seconds.
