Chennai-based Srivaru Holding has launched the all-new high-end all-electric motorcycle, the Prana 2.0, at an introductory price of ₹2,55,150. Unveiling the product in Chennai, Mohanraj Ramasamy—founder and CEO of Srivaru Motors, said that the ever-increasing demand for EVs among the youth in India have encouraged them to launch this product.
Evolving electric vehicle market in India
Mohanraj Ramasamy pointed out that Tamil Nadu accounted for more than 40% of the entire demand in the country for electric vehicles. It is expected that by 2030, electric motorcycles will achieve an estimated 50% market share, which is quite a difference from the less than 3% market share of electric two-wheelers in India at present. This growth just sets up an opportunity for companies like Srivaru Motors.
Prana 2.0- A marvel of engineering
Mr. Yuvaraj Sankar, Director, Engineering of Srivaru Motors, called Prana 2.0 an "Engineering Marvel in Powertrain Safety". The e-bike is fast in performance with speed of up to 123 km/h and gives a range of 250 km upon a single full charge.
Prana 2.0 boasts a battery pack of 46,120 high-energy, long-life cells. This motorcycle features four unique driving modes, which can further be elaborated as four different riding experiences in terms of vehicle performance and torque. It also has a reverse mode that makes it easy for parking assistance, adding to its practicality.
Innovative design and technology
Ergonomic seating and driving configuration ensure the cruising on Prana 2.0 is comfortable and premium. The bike comes with a detachable rim and an efficient in-wheel motor, which helps to reduce the maintenance cost of the bike.
It is even embedded with a mobile app that can track and perform diagnostics on the motorcycle in real-time. This sets a new bar for electric mobility. This durable-performance combination of user experience places the Prana 2.0 as the segment leader in electric motorcycles.

The Prana 2.0 launch is the most important moment in Srivaru's well-established history, as it continues to lead the charge in India's fast-growing electric motorcycle market.
