The Japanese automaker's compact SUV, Honda HR-V, is recently on sale in various international markets and is set for its debut in India.
There is no other contender for Honda Car India in the compact SUV segment except the crossover WR-V and 7-seater BR-V. Honda has yet to confirm the launch of HR-V in India but has given a hint of doing so soon.
The blog will explore whether the Honda HR-V will give tough competition to the current segment leader Hyundai Creta and many more questions.
Prize of Honda HR-V Price in India
The new Honda SUV will slot above the Hyundai Creta and BR-V, and the price list will be announced on the India Launch date. It will surely be a bit costly compared to BR-V. Prices should be expected to begin around RS14 lakh. It is identical in size to the Creta but will be marketed as a superior offering.
Engine Specifications
Honda HR-V is expected to have the same engine as the Honda City. It has 1.5 L petrol and 1.6 L Diesel in the UK. But for India, the Diesel engine is expected to be a 1.5 L unit as every Honda car in India. As the price for Honda HR-V is high, Honda may launch HRV small SUV with a 1.8 L petrol engine that is also powering the forthcoming Honda Civic.
Mileage
Like other Honda products on sale, healthy fuel efficiency is expected from the forthcoming HRV SUV.

Honda is well known for loading its cars with a host of equipment. The Honda HR-V Indian version is expected to get features like:

- 7-inch Infotainment system including Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto

- ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts
- Electronic Brake Force Distribution
- Reversing Parking Sensors

Dimensions
HR-V is similar to Hyundai Creta in size but more costly. HR-V is 4294mm in length, 1605mm in height, 1772mm in width, and 2610mm in wheelbase.
Exterior Design
The thick slab that contains the Honda logo is now a chrome strip that runs through the middle. Like Chevrolet Beat, the back door handle is placed high next to the rear window. Split tail lamps are at the back that could feature LED detailing. The overall design is innovative and will be more expensive than the same-sized Hyundai Creta.
Interior Design
Interior features comprise typical Honda elements. The steering wheel is the same as in Honda products. The 7-inch Digipad infotainment system of Honda is available on the WR-V and City.
The Dashboard on the passenger side has a three-vent setup. The vehicle is a five-seater with 393 liters of boot space.
Final Thoughts
The Honda HR-V is a compact SUV in India in a prize range of 14 lakh to 18 lakh and is set to compete against Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, and Hyundai Tucson.
