Honda Racing India’s Rajiv Sethu makes Top 5 finish in ARRC 2022, Round 3

In the ARRC Indian rider secured the best result by making a top 5 finish. Idemitsu Honda Racing India's Rajiv Sethu completed fifth in Race 1 of the Japanese round of the 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). This is the best outcome got by an Indian rider in the title up until this point.

At Asia’s toughest Road Race Championship, this is the first time that a solo team of India secured the top 5 positions in the AP 250 class Of ARRC.

Saturday's AP250 race was one of the hardest races of the time, as five riders crashed out in the first lap. Beginning the wet 12-lap race 1 from fourteenth on the framework, Rajiv immediately moved to the sixth spot after lap 1. Subsequently, he kept on keeping up with his position until he fell in lap 5 because of a wet track. Still up in the air to complete the race, Rajiv tested himself and promptly re-joined the race to cross the checkered line at the fifth spot.

In the meantime, Senthil Kumar couldn't finish the race because of an accident. This was disheartening however he's catching on quickly, and I'm sure that he will return stronger. I'm certain that the upcoming race will see greater excitement from both the riders."

"The race was challenging because of weather. I'm glad that I didn't rush on the wet track and kept a consistent position in the race. Regardless of meeting an accident, I went on with a similar performance as my aim was to earn points for the team.
