Honda is preparing to launch the much-awaited electric scooter for Indian markets on 27 November. The new e-scooter, also called Honda Activa Electric, boasts a range of interesting features, such as two removable batteries. Let's take a closer look at what expectations bring to this new electric vehicle.

Two Removable Batteries for Extra Mileage

One of the most notable features of the new electric scooter is that it is fitted with two removable batteries. In terms of its capacity rating, each of the batteries comes at 1.3kWh, said to give a maximum range of 104 km per charge in Standard mode. This means that the scooter will cover quite an impressive distance, especially for city commuters. This means that on a separate charge, users can easily remove the batteries and charge them to their convenience. However, such convenience would call for a trade-off. The two battery compartments affect the scooter's boot space considerably, and thus riders who would require ample room for storage will find that lacking.

Sleek and Familiar Design

Visually, the Honda electric scooter draws influences from the CUV-e electric scooter that was unveiled at EICMA 2024. Its sharp 7-inch TFT display adds to its style. What makes it desirable is the conveyance of modern style with Honda's trusted construction quality for those willing to make a change to electric mobility.

Performance and Speed

In terms of performance, the Honda electric scooter promises a 6kW peak output, good for a top speed of approximately 80 km/h. What the final specifications will be for this particular Indian model remains to be seen, but safe to say that the scooter will do well on the roads of the city and on your daily commute. With great range and speed, it would make for an excellent option for these eco-friendly urban commuters looking for a reliable ride.

Honda is all set to launch its new electric scooter in India, which will be a first from a Japanese brand in the Indian EV market. It's going to hit the markets officially on 27 November!
