Indian drivers to start the campaign for Lamborghini
One of India's topmost GT racer Armaan Ebrahim will pair-up with fellow countryman Anindith Reddy to compete in the 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia championship in the brand new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo car.
This will be Ebrahim's fourth year in the one-make Asian series, while two-time Euro JK and one-time MRF F1600 champion Reddy willl make his debut this weekend (April 14-15) in Round 1 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
Apart from Reddy's single-seater victories, the Hyderabad-born driver has won the 2015 Volkswagen Vento Cup series as well, while in his only international outing in the Volkswagen GTI Cup China, saw him finish on the podium.
The Indian pair will race the #27 Lamborghini for Top Speed Racing Team, which will field two more cars, the #18 with Andrew Haryanto and the #9 with Hao Bian and Huilin Han. However, for now, a full season is not confirmed for Ebrahim and Reddy.
At this stage, they have a drive for half season with the round in Malaysia followed by Thailand (May 12-13) and Japan (Suzuka, June 29-30). The rest of the 2018 season will have races in Japan (Fuji, July 21-22), China (Shanghai, September 22-23) and the World Finals in Spain (Vallelunga, November 15-18).
The pair took part in the two Thursday test sessions finishing eighth (2m06.931s) and fourth (2m05.509s) respectively, completing a total of 31 laps, before the official weekend which starts on Friday.
