Ather Energy has hiked the price of its family-focused electric scooter, the Rizta, by Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 across all variants with effect from January 1, 2025. The current most affordable Ather electric scooter is now priced from Rs 1.10 lakh
Features and Performance of Ather Rizta
Rizta also shares its key constituents of the battery, motor, and frame with sporty Ather 450 variants, but it comes along with some family-friendly features making this more practical and better to use for day-to-day purposes. A prime example of this vehicle would be the Magic Twist regenerative braking system which it shares with the company's flagship 450 Apex variant, meaning that Rizta comes off as both practical and technology-intensive, thus creating an enjoyable and smooth ride for one.
Price Details and Variants
The Ather Rizta comes in three variants-the S variant at Rs 1.10 lakh, the Z 2.9 at Rs 1.27 lakh, and the Z 3.7 at Rs 1.46 lakh. The Pro Pack unlocks additional features on the scooter and is between Rs 13,000 to Rs 20,000. The price increase is going to add Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 to the cost of all variants although the exact details regarding the price adjustment for each variant have not been revealed.

Conclusion
With the price hike, Ather Rizta would be even more premium as compared to other electric scooters being sold by brands like Bajaj, TVS, and Hero. However with a higher price, the Rizta may not attract everyone, and its customer base may be limited. With this hike in price due to Ather, it may lose some of its competitiveness in the market in 2025. It would be interesting to see how this hike in price changes the sales and success story of the scooter in the coming years.
