Zak O'Sullivan held the lead from the pole into La Source, with partner Benavides endeavouring to wrestle second from Juan Manuel Correa. With the tow on the Kemmel Straight, the ART Grand Prix driver transformed protection into assault, starting to lead momentarily. Slight contact with O'Sullivan prompted a cut at the exit of Les Combes, and Correa tumbled down the request. Simultaneously, Franco Colapinto was pitched out of control by Jonny Edgar, and the Trident driver got a five-second time penalty for the occurrence.
Bearman had an extraordinary beginning, and up to second entering Lap 2, Edgar hot was behind him in third.
The PREMA Racing man transformed second into first with a tow down the Kemmel Straight. A Safety Car has conveyed later that lap after Charouz Racing System's Christian Mansell wound up in the boundaries at Les Combes. Isack Hadjar had pulled a courageous move on the Briton, going next to each other with the Charouz through Eau Rouge to take eighteenth.
Title rival Victor Martins in the meantime had advanced up to sixteenth when the Safety Car was sent however had bounced the beginning. He was given a drive-through penalty, therefore. Arthur Leclerc, in the interim, kept in the clear to reach thirteenth.
Racing continued entering Lap 5, and Edgar was the man moving, having second from Benavides into Les Combes as head Bearman produced a sufficient gap to protect his lead. Bearman drove from Edgar at the restart with Benavides, Smolyar, Stanek, William Alatalo, Reece Ushijima, David Vidales, Caio Collet, and Leclerc the main 10. Racing continued with entering Lap 10, and the head aced his launch while Alatalo ran wide out of La Source and dropped him down to tenth. The Monégasque in the PREMA wasn't finished, and he held onto eighth from Collet into the last corner.
Entering the last lap, Alatalo took an extraordinary move on Vidales to shock the Campos man and hold onto seventh. That became 6th with DRS help, and Hadjar manoeuvred one more move into Les Combes.
Bearman was untroubled for the greater part of the race and finished 1.3s clear at the chequered banner to take an essential triumph in the 2022 title race. Stanek kept Trident on the podium with a P2 finish, while Smolyar got third for MP Motorsport.
Edgar was in the fourth position, Leclerc's P5, while Alatalo put in an extraordinary drive to take 6th. Vidales, Benavides, Hadjar, and Collet rounded out the point-paying positions.
