Alongside US GP and Miami GP, Las Vegas procures a slot on the schedule. The race will commence on Saturday night on 6.12 km along with the well-known Las Vegas Strip. It implies that three races will be held in the USA, which already holds a record for most races in a single season.

F1 Chief and President Stefano Domenicali, while commenting on the calendar said, “It’s important for us to get the balance right for the whole sport. We are pleased that our passionate fans will enjoy the new locations like Las Vegas to the Championship with much-cherished venues across Asia, America and Europe.”

Return of China and Qatar

Qatar made its debut in 2021 but wasn’t a part of the 2022 calendar as it was facilitating the FIFA World Cup. But with an October 8 slot, the country is returning. Chinese GP is also making a comeback after three years break because of Coronavirus.

Belgian GP moved to July-end as a consecutive with Hungary, while Dutch GP twinned with Italy.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem said that the calendar has been scheduled after considering 24 hours of the Le Mans race. Some high-profile manufacturers sign up including Porsche, BMW and Ferrari.
