Renault Kiger RXT(O) gets more features with a reduced price

Renault has revised the Kiger compact SUV, bringing additional features from the top trim down to the second-from-top RXT(O). Furthermore, the carmaker is providing appealing benefits on the top-spec RXZ trim. Renault recently updated its complete lineup to meet the BS6 Phase 2 emissions standards.

Renault Kiger RXT(O) gets new features

The Kiger RXT(O) now has Android Auto & wireless Apple CarPlay, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, full-LED headlamps &taillights and 16-inch alloy wheels

The RXT(O) trim level offers both the 1.0-litre normally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines in manual and automatic configurations.

Despite the inclusion of new equipment, the company has decreased the price of this variant. The Kiger RXT(O) was originally priced between Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 10.68 lakh, but it is now priced from Rs 7.99 lakh, a Rs 26,000 reduction.

Offers of up to Rs 91,000 are also available on the Kiger's RXZ trim. This includes a Rs 10,000 cash benefit, a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus, corporate benefits of up to Rs 12,000, and loyalty incentives of up to Rs 49,000.

Engine for Renault Kiger RXT(O)

The Kiger has two engine options under the hood: a 72hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with either a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission. A 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is also available, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The Kiger is offered in four trim levels: RXE, RXT, RXT(O), and RXZ.

Earlier in February 2023, Renault updated all of its models to conform with the stricter RDE standards and E20 gasoline, at which point all vehicles gained standard ESC, traction control, TPMS, and hill start assist. Global NCAP has also given Kiger a 4-star safety rating.
