The all-new Hyundai Verna has been launched, ranging from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh. According to the company, the manufacturer began collecting bookings last month, but delivery will begin in the first week of April 2023.
Hyundai so far has received over 8,000 bookings. Exclusive features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD standard across all models and two petrol engines option.
All New Hyundai Verna Exterior
The 2017 Hyundai Verna is slightly longer than its competitors, with a length of 4,535mm and a segment-leading wheelbase of 2,670mm. The Verna now offers the biggest boot capacity in the market - 528 liters - as well as the segment-best width of 1,765mm, which provides greater shoulder room.
Since the release of the distinct-looking Fluidic Verna in 2011, Verna's launches have always been highly anticipated, and this is no exception. The new Verna bears little similarity to its predecessor from the front and rear. It boasts EV-like long, swooping lines and an LED setup that covers almost the full width of the automobile.
All New Hyundai Verna Interior
The interior has dual-tone beige-black, with soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door trimmings. The Verna also has a 64-color ambient light strip that spans over the dashboard and door trims. It also provides the possibility of changing the colour according to the driving mode selected.
The Verna has segment-first heated and ventilated front seats, as well as front AC vents integrated into the dashboard design. The climate control knobs in the center console also serve as infotainment controls. Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, front parking sensors, and an electro-chromic mirror are all available.
Hyundai Verna has a completely new two-spoke steering wheel that has never before appeared on a Hyundai vehicle. It has multi-function buttons that provide haptic feedback. Aside from English and Korean, the driver's unit may display turn-by-turn navigation in over ten regional languages..
More Features
A huge 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system provides Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Valet mode, and system updates over the air. This unit also allows voice commands in Hindi and English for operations like turning on the air conditioning, opening the sunroof, and activating the ventilated seats, among others.
In terms of connected car technology, Hyundai is providing new Verna owners with three years of free Bluelink subscription, which includes, among other things, auto crash notifications, SOS calls, stolen vehicle immobilization, geo-fencing, and even a monthly report regarding health.
Safety Features
Verna will come with six airbags, EBD and ABS. Only the top-tier model with the DCT gearbox has all four disc brakes. It will have front and back radar detectors, as well as a front camera. With features like Forward Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane-keep warning and blind spot assist warning, and a safe exit warning, the ADAS assists the driver.
Engine, Colour options, Variants and Mileage
The new Verna will be offered in four trim levels: EX, S, SX, and SX (O), as well as seven colour options: Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Tellurian Brown.
The Hyundai Verna comes with two engines: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol. The NA petrol produces 115hp and 144Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual or an IVT automatic. Hyundai claims a fuel economy of 18.6kpl (MT) and 19.6kpl (ST) (IVT).
The turbo-petrol engine produces 160hp and 253Nm and comes with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT transmission with paddle shifters as options. While this engine is more powerful, Hyundai claims that it is also more efficient than natively aspirated engines, with fuel economy statistics of 20kpl for the manual and 20.6kpl for the DCT.
