Indian racer KR Kabilesh has marked his name in international racing, bagging his maiden victory at the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) finale at the Sepang International Circuit. The 14-year-old, competing in the MSBK 250 B class, clinched the podium finish in both races, second in Race 1 and won Race 2. It was a very important win in the career of Kabilesh and an elated moment for Indian motorsport.
A Strong Season Opening
KR Kabilesh began with the 2022 FIM MiniGP Indian Championship and was later promoted to the National Racing Championship. He made his debut this season for MSBK with a Kawasaki Ninja 250R. But it all turned big-time in October 2024, when he ended the season with two P3 finishes in Round 3. His journey this season has been outstanding and just came to fruition in the MSBK finale.
Race 1 and Race 2 Highlights
In Race 1, Kabilesh led for most of the race but was overtaken on Lap 4 by Indonesian rider Rakha Bima Saktiansyah. Despite the challenge, Kabilesh fought hard and finished just 0.014 seconds behind in second place. In Race 2, Kabilesh dominated, building a lead of 4 seconds over Saktiansyah, who took second. Kabilesh concluded his debut season in the MSBK championship, securing an overall fourth-place finish and accumulating 81 points

KR Kabilesh's win at the MSBK finale is just the opening of what is going to be a bright future in the racing world. This prize, inspired by his father Rajini Krishnan's successful racing, reflects Kabilesh as a hard worker who is totally dedicated.
