KIA motors to commence production by mid 2019

Korean auto major to commence production by May 2019 with concept car SP SUV showcased at Auto Expo 2018

KIA Motors India is targeting Indian market aggressively. They are going all out with their operations in India. The facility is coming up in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The Plant covers an area of 23 Million square feet and is speculated to produce 3 Lakh vehicles per year. 

Kia Motors have announced that the concept car "SP SUV", showcased at Auto Expo 2018, would be the first car rolling out of their facility. Manohar Bhatt, Senior VP, Marketing, Kia Motors India said production is scheduled to begin by the middle of 2019. That said, the market launch of the SP will likely be closer to Diwali next year.
