Hyundai has officially introduced the Creta Electric at the 2025 Auto Expo. The electric SUV is available in four variants with an optional trim called Smart (O), and it features a well-equipped interior focused on convenience and safety. It is offered in 10 colors, including monotone, matte, and dual-tone finishes.
Powertrain and Range
The Creta Electric comes with two battery options:
- 42 kWh battery: Provides a range of 390 km on a single charge.
- 51.4 kWh battery: Offers a longer range of 473 km. This option is only available in the Smart (O) and Excellence variants.
Charging times include:
- 58 minutes using a DC fast charger.
- 4 hours using Hyundai’s 11 kW AC wall box charger.
The vehicle also supports V2L technology, which provides power sockets inside and outside the car.
Variants
The four available variants are:
- Executive
- Smart
- Premium
- Excellence
The smaller 42 kWh battery is offered in the Executive, Premium, and Smart variants, while the larger 51.4 kWh battery is exclusive to the Smart (O) and Excellence trims.
Design Highlights
The Creta Electric keeps much of its design from the regular Creta, with a few unique touches:
- Front: Features a flat face with the charging port hidden under the Hyundai logo and active aero flaps for improved battery cooling.
- Wheels: Equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and low rolling resistance tires.
- Rear: Similar tail lamp design as the ICE model, but the bumper takes inspiration from the Creta N-Line.
It is available in 8 single-tone colors (5 metallic and 3 matte), with dual-tone options for Ocean Blue and Atlas White.
Cabin and Features
The interior design largely resembles the ICE model, with some updates:
New steering wheel: Includes a drive mode selector positioned on the steering column, inspired by the Ioniq 5.
Advanced features: LED lights, smartphone-enabled digital key, dual digital displays, 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, connected car tech, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, wireless charger, and a panoramic sunroof.
