Honda India secure a top 10 finish in ARRC Round 3

Kavin Samaar Quintal earns crucial points for Idemitsu Honda Racing India with an impressive eighth-place finish in Round 3 of the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) in Japan.

Amidst scorching temperatures at Japan's Sportsland SUGO circuit, the racing conditions posed a significant challenge. In Race 1, Quintal faced a tough battle and finished 18th. However, he demonstrated remarkable resilience in Race 2, making a remarkable leap from the 18th position to secure an impressive 8th place finish.

Displaying exceptional skill and seizing every opportunity, Quintal showcased an impressive performance during the initial laps of the race, swiftly climbing to the 11th position. Capitalizing on the misfortune of several riders involved in crashes, he continued his determined charge, ultimately crossing the finish line in eighth place. This outstanding achievement not only earned Honda India eight valuable points but also highlighted Quintal's remarkable racing prowess.

Quintal claimed, "I wasn't happy with my performance, so I worked harder to score points. My goal for today was to keep moving forward steadily while taking advantage of all the opportunities that presented themselves. I maintained my composure and ran consistently to finish the race in the top ten despite the several crashes on the circuit. I will be practicing more to strengthen my positions in the next round as a result of the lessons I learned from this round."

Honda India currently holds the ninth position among eleven teams, with a five-point advantage over SDG MS HARC Pro Honda Philippines. The next round of the championship is scheduled in Indonesia on August 11-13, promising another exciting opportunity for Honda India to make their mark.
