In memory of José Abed, a minute of silence is held, the FIA Vice President of Honor, who died recently. Mr Abed was the main motorsport executive in Mexico and Latin America filling in as an FIA Vice President for Sport addressing the Americas locale.
The FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said thanks to individuals for their participation and was satisfied to report critical advancement in key regions: "The World Motor Sport Council assembled in Paris to examine various subjects as we plan the way forward for the organization, in the structure of our new administration approach. We keep on pushing forward on sustainability, towards our objective of net-zero outflows in 2030. Individuals approved a new FIA Anti-Harassment and Non-discrimination Policy which reaffirms a zero-resistance approach towards provocation and any type of disconnection. I need to thank the individuals for their continuous endeavours in spreading out a way for the association to meet its drawn-out goals."
The summary of the decision taken by F1’s governing body during today’s Worlds Motor Sport Council meeting is as follows:
- The timing of the authority pre-occasion media exercises for Drivers has been refreshed. This activity will presently happen inside a two-hour window, 23 hours preceding the booked beginning of Free Practice 1.
- The guidelines administering vehicle limits during tyre testing have been refreshed.
- Deflection tests for Beam Wing Flexibility and Rear Wing Main plane Trailing-Edge have been refreshed.
- Guidelines for mirrors have been refreshed to permit more prominent aft permeability.
- Fuel will currently be allowed to be chilled to 20°C at more sweltering races. The temperature reference will be required one hour ahead of the meeting.
- An update has been made permitting a Power Unit to be supplanted in ParcFermé with one of the more current specifications.
- An arrangement has been made to consider brief fixes to be made to Power Units.
Furthermore, the Council reported on the advancement of the 2026 Power Unit Regulations, which are expected to be concluded and introduced before the following World Motor Sport Council meeting, following significant work and counsel between the FIA, Formula 1, the incumbent Power Unit producers and likely novices.
