The Japanese manufacturer surprised everyone with the shocking announcement of its MotoGP exit in May. By the Suzuki announcement, Promoter Dorna Sports was caught having signed for the premier class until 2026.

After some initial fluctuations, Suzuki finally broke that commitment and withdrew from MotoGP only three years after Joan Mir won in 2020 (Marque’s first in 20 years).

The team members and riders have been shoring up their futures since then. Alex Rins and Mir are headed to Honda, Mir to the factory team, and Alex Rins will join LCR.

Likewise, other team members found a new place in the MotoGP paddock. It includes Mir’s crew chief, who is set to join Fabio DI Giannantonio at Gresini, and Rin’s crew chief Juan Manuel Cazeaux, who will collaborate with Maverick Vinales in the next season.

While other team members are not sure about the plans beyond the 2022 season-ending race in Valencia, owing to this fact, the news of pre-Valencia has come down poorly with staff. Many among them consider it an unnecessary expense.
