Aabhishek Mishra and Aaron Mare leading by a comfortable margin to clinch the title in Xtreme and Moto Category Respectively
Leg 4 was divided into two parts, First one being held during the day and the second part as the 2nd-night stage. Both the stages in moto category were held during the day due to safety concerns.
In Xtreme, Mishra along with co-driver V Venu Rameshkumar, driving a Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara topped all four stages to inch closer to winning his first Desert Storm. Mishra has built a lead of 34m03s over Raj Singh Rathore driving Isuzu V-Cross. Niju Padia with co-driver Nirav Mehta is set out to be on the podium as well.
All 4 entries from Team Maruti Suzuki Motorsports are out of the race and this will be the first time in years that no one from the team would be there at the podium.
In the Moto Category, Mare still holds a 5 minute lead over Santolino Lorenzo, the only surviving TVS rider. The fight for the 1st position in moto category will be between Mare and Lorenzo as third-placed Sanjay Kumar is trailing by 29m13s heading into the final stage of 25km on friday.
